GRANT LIAM DEMARCO
NAME: Grant Liam DeMarco
GENDER: Male
AGE&YEAR: 19, year 6
PROBLEM: Druggie
RISK: Moderate
PLAY BY: Jake Abel
APPEARANCE:
His looks have gone down a bit since he was younger. His hair is never usually combed and sticks up in random places. It a light brown color, though it use to be blonde. It also use to always be combed and slicked back to look good for people. He doesn’t care anymore. He also has these blue eyes. They are pretty, though they have been adored by these bags under his eyes for a while, making them lose their sheen to them. They don’t stand out much longer. He stands at a tell 6’1’’. Grant has a tone body, and in well shape. Always use to work out, and the drugs do wonders on your body at times. He doesn’t have much muscle still, but he can hold his own, for a while. He would still probably lose any fight he fought, be he could run like hell if he needed to. His clothes are usually casual. T-shirts or button up tops are the normal for him, with jeans and a regular pair of sneakers. He would rather not let his past out in here. He wants to be a normal kid at the moment. He’s been doing a decent job, so far.
PERSONALITY:
At one point in his life, Grant use to hold this air about himself that screamed he was better than you in every way shape and form. Well, that’s how he was raised to believe he was. Being the heir of a company, you had to be better than everyone else. Growing up and learning those things, that’s what he believed. He was home schooled till high school. So he had a private tutor and everything. Spoiled? Yes. He was one of those kids. But once he went to a public high school, to get a taste of the real world, so he knew what he would be dealing with, everything seemed to be stripped away from him. Like he never even had it.
He tried to keep it, and be above everyone else, but that just made it harder and harder. He was bullied and pushed around, and no one knew about it. He was too prideful to let anyone else know, but it was hard. That first year sucked, horribly. So he knew he had to make friends somehow, and how was that? Lower yourself, and join others in something harming your body. Yeah, those things. He dropped down and was soon content in where he was. He had these people called friends. Were they friends? Who knew, but he felt better. The way the drugs made him feel, it couldn’t have been any better. He was on cloud nine, at least he thought he was there most of the time. Drugs made him feel more alive than money or his home life ever did. He didn’t even think about his real life anymore, he could care less what he would be doing in the future.
He’s very relaxed and laid back. He doesn’t care what he’s doing anymore as long as no one bothers him. Don’t try and change him, and don’t try and make him do anything. He can have a bit of anger problem when aggravated to that point, but as long as he’s in a happy place, he’s great. Any type of drug he’ll try now. Alcohol is not really his thing, though he will drink to numb the pain.
HISTORY:
Grant probably had one of those lifestyles that some people would dream of having. He was born into money, and no matter what happens he will always have money. Well, that depends on how this part of his life goes now. But back to his childhood. He was the only child to Edward and Miranda DeMarco, so he was a spoiled boy, mind you, the only time he ever saw his parents were when they threw parties at the house, and then again, he didn’t see them, they were entertaining important people. His servants and nanny were m ore family to him than his real family. Not that he minded, they were cooler anyways. Though once he started training more, for business and all that stuff, he was only in touch with his tutor and nanny, and that was it.
This is probably the reason that he became so superior to others. At least thinking that way, that’s how he lived. He was told this every day. Messed up? Yeah, just a bit. So going to after years of being told this, you would think like this, always. That’s why high school was such a change for him. All of a sudden he wasn’t the best. He didn’t do sports, and he wasn’t popular. He was the new rich, snobby kid to most people, so he wasn’t welcomed. He was actually beat up a lot. Even though he was decent looking, and most girls liked that, it didn’t help him in the least. Guys picked on him, and it was hard. His confidence was slowly taken away from him, bit by bit till there was nothing left inside him.
That’s probably about the time he tried to find out where he could fit in. He actually didn’t mean to end up where he did. One lunch time he had just gotten beaten up, and when he was going off to hide, he kinda stumbled into this group of kids. Outcasts, loners, those people. They invited him over and handed him a joint, and that was kind of the start of that. After that this as the crowd he hung out with. Most of the time, he stopped going home and had these wild trips. He liked too many things, and harmed his body in so many ways. Actually he starting cutting himself as well, but it was just for the thrill. Never meant to kill himself in any way, just kind of felt good half of the time. Well, he also wasn’t himself, so it was okay, in his mind.
His parent knew nothing of this. They never saw Grant half of the time, so how would they know anything that was going on in his life. It was another thing that added to his stress, and why he started harming himself. He barely went to parties anymore, at least one his parents threw. He was having more fun with his new friends. He grades dropped suddenly, and soon he just wasn’t going to school anymore. Finally his parents, and people who cared knew something was up. He always wore sunglasses everywhere now, in his house. They were worried and once they saw the marks on his arm, and how trashed his body was they figured out something. They forced him into getting himself checked out, and that was that. He has some severe mental stress, and this desire to harm himself with drugs. His parents couldn’t help but think it was their fault, and tried to help themselves, but they weren’t good enough. Though he was stuck, he started taking pain killers and caffeine pills to get something off of them. And it did. It numbed the pain for a while of everything. Once his parents realized they could no longer help him, sending him off to a safe place was the only real thing they could do. And that’s how he ended up here. For two years he’s been there... in this place that was trying to correct his ways. But he knows if he doesn’t get better, he’ll never get a penny from his family ever again. Drawback? I think so.
