APPEARANCE:
Natalie isn't a small girl by any means, with the sort of curves that you would expect from a girl who is half-Spaniard. Her figure is that of an hourglass and the sort that people write songs about. She isn't an exceptionally tall girl standing at about 5'5, though, her lack of height has never really bothered her all too terribly. She isn't a twig, that much is for sure, and has the sort of softness to her form that is lusted over when it comes to women. Her eyes are a bright blue that are made more extravagant with her dark hair and pale skin. Speaking of her hair, more often than not it is left to it's natural wave and is pulled back into a braid or ponytail. Or, of course, just left down as she pleases.
As for her style of dress she is more or less a jeans and t-shirt sort of girl. Always has been, and probably always will be. Not that she doesn't know how to make herself look good, because she does. It just all matters on the effort that she wants to put into such a task.
PERSONALITY:
Natalie is a very interesting girl, with many aspects to her. On one end she is very intelligent, and has no problem showing such intelligence off. Even if she is a very well versed young woman, and extensively skilled in the ways of words, she can be crude when the time comes. As beautiful as she make her words, she can use just as many ugly ones when she wants a certain point to come across. Like many parts of personality she sees her intelligence as a tool, something that she can use to do whatever she wanted with. She could make friends with such a tool, make enemies, and even get people to follow her. She’s great at the art of making speeches and inspiring people to follow her opinion. Words are her sword, both spoken, and on paper, be careful lest you end up cut with them.
She is easy to be around with her sort of care free nature, but only as long as you understand a dry sense of humor and don't mind being picked on from time to time. When she really likes someone, that’s when she really teases. It’s her wayward way of affection. Don’t be thrown off by this because chances are if you have two brain cells about you then you can tell the difference between her just playfully teasing and genuinely making fun. Natalie isn’t the sort of girl to go out of her way to give someone that she didn’t like a hard time. Then again, she never put much effort into anyone who she wasn’t keen on at least in the slightest, preferring to ignore the person instead of make any snippy remarks. Not that she doesn’t have more than a few in her back pocket, because, she does, and when the mood hits her she can roll with the best of them.
The girl is a minimalist, feeling that she doesn't need an extensive array of things to be happy. She is also quite the environmentalist and fights for thing she feels strongly about. She isn't a push over in any way shape or form, and prides herself on being a strong woman. She won’t just give into something because people want her to, but instead needs a good reason. Those reason don’t ever have to be too terribly much either. Just enough to sway her to put forth effort.
The girl knows how to flirt and charm, but rarely uses such tools seeing as she has little to no interest in relationships. Not that she doesn’t like sex, she loves sex, loves having sex and is more than willing to give it to a pretty boy or girl when they come along. She does have a pretty specific type though. Natalie’s interest only lies in people who are as insatiable as herself. Also someone who she would look good walking around with, having an affinity for the aesthetically pleasing individual.
When it comes to most things she is reserved, not that she won't let people know what she's feeling exactly when she's feeling it, but she does draw a line. She has trouble getting close to people and has trust issues. The girl is a pessimistic optimist. Which is more or less to say that she can seem very oxymoronic, but really, she just likes to think of herself as a realist. She is opinionated, and vocal, but also can be a bit quite when there's too much confrontation, because she really doesn't deal with it well. Eager to learn and self-driven, she can inspire anyone to do close to anything if she really wants.
Then there's this other side to her, this dark and troubled side. The same side that landed her in this place. When she swings to her darker moods she can be mean, bitter, and downright cruel. It is also this side of her that lives in a constant state of self-loathing and guilt, feeling that she was the cause for what happened to her parents. This is also the side of her that is terrified of abandonment. So terrified that she refuses to let anyone close enough to see that side of her. She can lash out, and you never know when it'll be coming. She is apt to mood swings, very extreme ones, that can be trigged by simply a word.
Though it was the suicide attempt that landed her here and gave her her label she most certainly has more issues than the want to off herself from time to time. The girl is a terrible addict, to both substances and sex. Not too shocking though, as mental instability and addictions seem to go hand in hand. She would rather live life in a hazed high than see things clearly. Most of the time she wouldn’t like what she was going to see anyway. She knows how to party, to have a good time, but sometimes her limits escape her and she pushes herself too far, and people as well.
This is Natalie in a nut shell, though you can never really capture a personality as a whole until you get to really know someone. Natalie May Rodregez, is one girl that’s worth getting to know, if she’ll let you, that is.
HISTORY:
It was needless to say that the meeting of Sarah and Anthony was one that was more or less expected. Both of them went to the same high school, and they all ran with the same crowd. Gang bangers and all of that shit. When Sarah got pregnant she was fifteen and Anthony was seventeen. Sarah ran away to go live with the father of her child in his apartment, which doubled as a drug house. Their situation wasn't all the great and when Natalie was born there were more than a few complications due to her mother's drug use during pregnancy.
Natalie was four when everything changed in her life. Her father, in a drugged rage lost his mind and shot her mother to death. Natalie had been hiding under the bed when it happened which was more or less what saved her life. Police came, arrested her father, and Natalie then became a ward of the state.
She spent most of her life in and out of foster homes, none of them ever really sticking. Where as she was a beautiful girl, she was awkward and distant, and didn't take well to people. Somehow, with all the moving all over the state, she was still able to keep a somewhat decent GPA.
That seemed to be about the only positive thing that went on in her life. When it came to the dark side of life Natalie gave into it almost completely. After all, addiction was in her blood. Drugs were there for her to take her fill starting at the tender age of twelve, as well as alcohol. Natalie was a very early bloomer, receiving the attention of boys at the tender age of thirteen. Which was the same age that she lost her virginity. Sex, drugs, alcohol, rock and roll, they all played into the life style of the reckless teen that she was becoming.
At age fourteen Natalie attempted suicide and that's what landed her in this lovely place. Sometimes when there were cases like Natalie it was far easier to just toss her into some place like this. She's been here for nearing three years at this point, and as far as her shrinks are concerned she is making wonderful progress and may be able to be released when she turns eighteen. That is her goal as well, being more than ready to blow this Popsicle stand. She, of course, still doesn't think that she needs to be here, but it's not like it's her choice anyway.
