Plot:

September First brings with it the familiar changes of the season: undoubtedly, the leaves will fade into varying shades of yellows, oranges, and browns; inevitably, the traditional goodies of hot chocolate, apple cider, and pumpkin pie reappear; predictably, calendars begin to track how many more days until Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. If, however, one were to ask Albus Dumbledore what the greatest change of Fall is, his shoulders would shake gently with laughter as he replies, “The student’s return.” The castle has been cleaned, professors’ supplies have been restocked, the Hogwarts Express has been polished, and now all that remains is the ride back to Hogwarts.

Quickly, now! Grab your bags! There’s no time for school shopping anymore, no room possibly left in your suitcase; get that pet in their cage, get that cage on your cart; three, two, one, go, rush through the barrier and hop on that train. Hug your parents goodbye, wave farewell to your siblings; reunite with your friends and find yourself a compartment. Just in time, here we go! What’s this, we’re here already? You heard the conductor, you’ve arrived! You’re swiftly sorted into new students and returning students, and then, yes! The castle is in sight. The experienced students, you know who you are, you head directly for your House table and wait for the sorting to begin. What’s that, you’re new around here, are you? Well let’s get you sorted, meet my friend…
