The moon was high up in the sky, a cloudless night let the beams light up the whole academy. The stars seemed to be brighter and closer, maybe it was substance affect, a hallucination, either way it was beautiful to Naomi. Naomi was girl of her later years that happened to be enrolled into this place, for what she thought was rather small reasons, what she was addicted to drugs ? They have rehab for that don't they. She had anger problems? What girl whose father and brother just passed away didn't?
Stretching her arms into the sky a sly smile creeped onto her face, tilting her head she giggled. “A beautiful night, for an elf to explore the out bounds of their area.” She mumbled. What ? That doesn't make sense, maybe just jumbled words. Oh well. A small satin robe was draped over her body, covering a white tank top and small 'girl next door' underwear, her frame was small and rather .. skeleton looking. Some would think she was here for an eating disorder. How ever we all know thats not the case. A bag containing a soccer ball was thrown over her shoulder, she wasn't very athletic but she did enjoy kicking around a ball every now and again.
Naomi's small body glided effortlessly over the wet grass. The blades touched her feet soaking her legs below her knees, it was a great feeling the sensation seemed to wake up this night owl more then usual. A large heart pendant hung around her neck, it was apiece of jewelry she wouldn't leave her room with out, in this time in her life it was indeed her savor. Throwing herself on the ground she burst into laughter, eyes blood shot a sure sign of a midnight smoke session?. That wouldn't be a surprise. Her soccer ball rolled on the ground a few feet away. Naomi grinned and sat up taking her pendent off she unscrewed the tip, placed a spoon like scoop up the her nose and snorted, her pupils dilated, and the place the spoon under her other nostril and repeated.
Indeed this pendent was her savor at this academy , rather stupid for her to carry it around but it had never done her any wrong. Naomi laid back down on the ground and let the euphoria fill her limbs, it was a numb tinglings at first and then her body went into pure orgasm, Her eyes rolled back from pleasure as her fingers ran through the blades of grass, clenching an releasing. It was indeed a great night so far.

Night time. Why would anyone go out at such a ridiculous hour? Who knew… People always had their own reason for doing things, just like Grant did. It wasn’t so much that he liked it, it wasa about the only time he could safely get stuff to fulfill his needs. He always met someone behind the bleachers once every two weeks to get whatever he could get that week, for a reasonable price. Didn’t always want to spend too much, he was at a facility that was “trying” to help his problem. If they knew anything about this, it would be gone so quick, and he would had some of that therapy going on. Now that was a joke right there. These people didn’t care. They were getting paid to sit with a group of adolescence teens and try to help them. Key word being try, and they weren’t doing that great of a job at it. Clearly, if Grant could still do this, they were not keeping a good eye out. Just had to watch walking around at times…
He hadn’t gotten anything serious this time, just a lot of pain killers. Vicodin mostly, maybe a few other things were through into the two unlabeled pill jars he was given. Who knew anymore. He only really got hooked on the painkillers, when he was stuck in his house. Between faculty working in the house, and his parents, it wasn’t too hard to come by the stuff. People were getting hurt al over the place. Accidents, maybe even some on purpose, once the drug started to have it’s own effects on him. It wasn’t the best drug around, but not as detectable at times. Just took the right amount of edge, while relieving whatever pain he could cause to himself. It was great. Also got two packs of cigarettes, that wouldn’t last very long, but were good none the less.
As the boy made his way around the bleachers onto the field, he lit up one of the cigs, placing it between his lips and taking a long drag. It hit the spot, for the time being. As he exhaled, something caught his eye. Well, it was more of a someone, since it did have a human figure. He knew he wasn’t hallucinating, because he wasn’t taking anything. Once he saw the figure lay down into the grass, he knew something was up and he no longer feared it was someone tailing him on what he was doing. No guard or nurse would act like that no matter what. Unless they were severely messed up at the moment, which he highly doubted.
He walked as quietly as one could through the grass, no wanting to startle the person, since clearly, they didn’t know he was around either. Once he was close enough, he could tell it was the figure of a girl. As he got closer, he could distinguish certain features. He had to think of the name, but he knew her. Naomi, that was he name. Yes, group therapy, and they had even talked a few times before, but he didn’t know her. Just like she didn’t know him. What was she doing, laying in the grass at this time, and in the clothing she was wearing… Not that she didn’t have a nice figure, because she did, but still. He just stood there, about 5 feet away from her as he took his cig between his fingers, tapping lightly the ashes onto the ground next to him. Breathing out the smoke he just watched her. Whatever she was on, looked better than any painkiller could do for him at the moment. He thought about leaving her there, someone would surely find her though. He couldn’t. So Grant took a seat next to her. “You know, you should really watch out sometimes. People are always watching.” He chuckled to himself. He should have heeded his own advice at times, but he didn’t care. He placed the cigarette to his lips once more, inhaling the smoke again, relaxing just a bit.

Naomi laid in the grass, allowing the moisture to soak her robe and undershirt, why hadn't she put on more clothes? That question had only reached her mind as the affects of her favorite drugs begin to wither away, well the peak at least. When the blissfulness disappeared , an alertness overcame her body, a second feeling she would learn to enjoy. It helped her get things done for school and made her art work crazy. Rolling on her stomach, a laugh slipped out of her lips, she was in a good mood probably the best she had been in, in awhile. Her mind was no where around her, but in space on a ship out of this universe, nothing that Naomi did any time soon would make sense to any one who was sober or who have never taken the drug before. Inhaling the scent of the freshly cut grass cover in water she rolled back on her back only to have something block her view of the stars.
Immediately her eyes narrowed like a cat who just walked out of a closet into a brightly lite room. Every movement her made , she followed, the flicking of the ashed on the ground to the sitting next to her. She frowned. Why was it every time she found a moment to escape someone had to come in and ruin it. With a sigh under her breath, Naomi sat up and forced a smile.
“You prove that now don't you?” She wasn't being mean, in fact rather polite under the circumstances, she bet that if she had walked up on this boy while he was strung out he'd have the same attitude towards her. Nothing big just a 'user' thing. What was his name? She knew his face and well voice, they had talked but she never had found anything important enough to retain his name, hmm rather embarrassing really. Gram? No he didn’t really look like he'd taste as good as a graham cracker.. Yes this was the way the reasoned things in her life, you could imagine why she was in so much trouble. Hmm George ? Noo not short enough, Ah yes! It was Grant, Naomi rather enjoyed his problems in group therapy now that she thought about it. They were one in the same it seemed.
Naomi bit her lower lip and smiled, the affects of the cocaine still rushing through her body, it came in waves. The first hit was like an orgasm, then it mellowed for a focusing affect, then a rather over all feeling of happiness. If something were to brush up against her, it'd shoot tingles through her whole body. However Naomi knew that drugs had affected her differently then most others. Her eyes glistened in the moon light as she met his gaze. Why was He out there? Just passed midnight, not a lot of people wandered around at this time, actually it was more or less looked down upon to be out this late. She looked him over once more, a pretty smile, nice eyes, he could pass as the nice boy who always got walked over, maybe that who he was before he came? Oh who knows.
“Midnight strolling for you I see?” She smirked. “Well I'll tell you what Grant, I'll keep a look out for you if you keep a look out for me.” Naomi winked, she was in a rather playful mood during this minute. She giggled and laid back down, her gaze falling on the stars above his head, Orion's belt what a magical constellation.

He watched her first reaction to him. It wasn’t something that surprised him, who would want someone bothering you, in the middle of the night, while you were getting your high. No one wanted that, but Grant at least thought in his head that it was better him that someone that worked at this school. Really, it could have been anyone, but he wasn’t going to go that direction and say something like that. He wasn’t even going to bother. Besides, she had changed the topic on him like that. He took another drag on the cigarette and let out a sigh.
“I’m as much on a midnight walk as you are laying on the ground watching the night sky, watching the stars go by.” Clearly, they were both doing that too, but they both had motives behind them. Basically the same thing, to an extent. He saw the wink and he smiled a little, shaking his head. “Yeah sure. We’ll keep an eye out for each other, why not?” In his head he wasn’t really serious, but for the time being why not. Besides, the two of them rarely saw each other besides therapy anyways. Like one little promise would change that fact. He couldn’t get close to people. Even people who were fairly similar to him, it just wasn’t who he was. Though he knew people who tried to get fairly close with him. Well, if he wasn’t in the right state of mind, anyone could get close, but he never saw them again. Usually.
Looking at the cigarette between his fingers, it was almost down to the filter. Smoking kept him preoccupied at times when he wasn’t doing something else. He took one more, long inhale on the cancer stick, then stuck it in the wet grass next to where he was sitting, making sure that the end cooled down and go out. He slowly breathed out the smoke, watching it leave his lips slowly, and it mixing with the air around him. “So, you do this every night, or when you feel as though you can’t get caught? Cause I think this is a dangerous place to be at times.” His blue eyes traced over her figure, finally landing on her face. He was studying her at the moment, and the fact that she was holding a decent conversation with him at the moment, was surprising, he would of probably yelled at someone to get away. Maybe he would have… Actually he wasn’t sure. He had never been put into the situation. Well, he had been, but usually the group he was with would just start running away , like they did something bad. Best way to incriminate yourself, right?
Grant wanted to reach for another one right away, but they would never last that way. Actually, he didn’t care at the moment. He could always get some more if he had to. He pulled the pack out of his pocket and tapped another one out. The thought of offering her one was on his mind, but he was pretty sure she was content at the moment with what she had, no cigarette could help for that matter. He put the box away and took out his lighter. Placing the stick between his lips he held it tightly there as he covered it from the wind and tried to get the lighter to start a flame for him. It took a few tries, but it finally worked, and he took a good inhale, letting the smoke back out through his nostrils. Yeah, this was going to help kill him quicker if he didn’t overdose first one of these days. He looked down at Naomi again, and followed her gaze up towards the stars. They did seem brighter out here at times. Or that could have just been his imagination. Yeah, it was probably just that.
