Laura hadn't been in this place long and she already hated it. Why her father had decided to send her to a place full of crazy people made no sense to her. Perhaps he hated her more than she realized. Laura was positive this was some form of punishment for all the parties she had thrown, the messes she had left for him to clean up. She didn't belong here though, she wasn't crazy though she was sure she would be by the time she left here.
Worse of all this place was boring, there was nothing to do and so she found herself wondering around. As she came into the commons Laura collapsed onto the couch with a loud sigh. Grabbing the television remote she flicked it on and started to scan through the channels. Nothing really caught her eye and she she left it on a music station. Music videos really were the worse things going, most of them made no sense but whatever it filled the silence in the room.
Where were all the crazies at today anyway? Laura had barely seen anyone and in a way that made her a little nervous. If she was going to be stuck in here with crazy people she at least wanted to know where they were at. God knows one of them would likely try and kill her before the month was out, not that her father would care about that either. She was out of his way and that's all her cared about. Laura drummed her fingers on the side of the couch as she tried to think of something to do. Maybe she needed to try and make some friends... yeah right that so wasn't going to happen.
Friends had never been Laura's strong suit. Sure she was often surrounded by people but she would never call any of them friends. She liked to use people, to control them, to see what she could make them do for her. It was something she was actually pretty skilled at. Most people were easier to figure out than you would think. All she needed was for someone to show up and they would at least provide her with a momentary distraction from this boredom.

- - - - - - - - - - - - Since coming to Rosedale, Jayson had grown to resent his mother as much as he resented his step father. The women seriously over reacted about his situations. Yes, he got angry and got into fights, that did not mean he belonged here with psychos. He had heard plenty of students talking (or even yelling) to themselves, students with crazy scars down their arms, and cracked out druggies who just plain grossed him out. There had been several occasions where he had wanted to punch a kid, because they sat there and spoke to themselves, it was creepy as hell and he hated it.
Of course, Jay wasn't scared, he could take anyone here, but the point was that he didn't belong with the freaks in this school. Really, who got so sad they wanted to end their life? Or why did some of the students get so scared about just being in public with others that they almost vomited? Jayson got mad, like most people in today's society, he did not fit in here at all.
Right now he was heading toward the common area, planning on watching some tv. As he stepped inside, he paused for a second, noticing a girl on the couch. He eyed her a bit, wondering what sort of mental case she was. Although, she was attractive, maybe his luck would find him with one of those sex maniac chicks. Figuring he'd never know until he spoke with her, or heard her speak to herself, he moved toward the couch and took a seat.
A lot of people were 'polite' and would ask something stupid along the lines of 'this seat taken?'. Jayson was a part of this school, this was his couch and his tv for the time being, he'd never ask for permission to be in here. He looked at what was on the tv, shaking his head a little with distaste before looking at the girl again. "So, are you going to start screaming at yourself?" he asked bluntly, a dry tone to his voice and a slightly annoyed look on his face. The people here were beyond annoying.

Laura hadn't heard anyone else come into the room and so she was surprised when someone took a seat on the couch. She pulled her legs back a little to give the guy a bit of room, while she tried to discern what his deal was. At first glance it was hard to figure out, he looked normal, nothing screamed keep away I'm a crazy person. Though that was the tricky thing about crazy people they could look and sometimes act normally, it was actually scary when you stopped to think about it. After a moment he spoke to her and his tone wasn't kind nor was it hostel. His question however was blunt and to the point, it caused Laura to arch an eyebrow giving him an 'are you serious' look. "It wasn't exactly on my agenda for today, so no." She answered in a dry and slightly annoyed tone.
The guy wasn't bad looking she had to give him that and she had been looking for a distraction. Perhaps he was the answer to her boredom. Laura realized she had to be careful around here with the people she messed with, in cause they were severely insane and decided it would be fun to go after her. This was a guy though and usually she could handle them pretty well. Laura licked her lips while she looked over him again not trying to hide her wandering eyes. "So how about you? Are you prone to regular fits of insane laughter?" She asked with a slight smirk on her lips. She could picture some of these people doing that crazy laugh that you see on some movies.
Maybe if this guy was half way normal she could at least hit him up for some information. If he had been here a while he might be able to tell her some things to do, because they had to be more to do around here aside from watch crap T.V. This was a school for teens after all and teens were a sneaky group. They always seemed able to do all those things that they were forbidden to do. Actually making something forbidden just seemed to make it more exciting.

- - - - - - - - - - - - It had always been obvious to Jay that he tended to get angry easily, and while he admitted to constantly having violent thoughts and dislike of almost everyone, he didn't feel that he was meant for this place. It was wrong to stick someone who had multiple personalities and talked to themselves with someone who just sometimes got a little too angry. Of course, he downplayed his own view of his problem, to everyone who had seen his anger, they knew that he was a risk and that was exactly why he had been sent to school here. A normal school couldn't handle him, he needed help. With normal teenagers he had never felt like he didn't fit in, it was more that he didn't want to. He enjoyed tormenting people, he didn't care one bit of their opinion of him. The only opinion that mattered was his own, except he tended to push himself and get very critical of himself.
When the girl said it hadn't been on her agenda for the day, Jay smirked a bit, looking her over with slightly peaked interest now, finding her annoyed tone amusing. At her question to him, he gave her a curious look, before letting out a small, but normal and sarcastic, laugh. "What if I said yes?" he asked, messing with her, before shaking his head a little. "I'm not a freak." he answered seriously.
When it came to school here, Jay was new this year, not knowing much of what went on. From what he learned though, he was stuck in therapy sessions and had to be around a bunch of nut cases. If he had to pick his least favorite out of all the types of crazies here though, he'd say the male sex addicts, they tended to hit on guys as well as girls and they weren't picky. It creeped him out more to think of one of the guys hitting on him than being attacked by someone who had lost their mind.
"So whats your deal then? You like to get off too much?" he asked, a smug smirk on his lips now, openly eying her up and down in a suggestive manner. He didn't hit on every girl he meant, only the ones he found attractive and worthy of his attention. So far she fit, but any signs of something strange and he would bail, he'd seen way too many strange things around this school.

His question caused her to arch a brow as she decided whether he was crazy or not. It was pretty obvious though that he was only being funny, or trying to be that was. He wasn't a freak that was slightly reassuring, though Laura assumed a lot of the crazies here would say the same thing. Laura knew better than to accept anything anyone said at face value. She normally questioned everything people said and did anyway, even before being sent here. Laura didn't trust people, the word really wasn't even in her vocabulary unless she was trying to get someone to trust her. To her if someone was a trusting person they were just a fool and deserved whatever came their way. People looked out for themselves and would screw anyone else over in a heart beat if it was going to benefit them, that was why she always looked out for herself.
What was her deal? That was a question and a half, though she couldn't help but smirk when he asked if she liked getting off too much. "Mmm yeah... I'm afraid not." Laura told him knowing it likely disappointed him to here that. "Though that doesn't mean I don't like to have a bit of fun from time to time when a suitable partner presents himself..." She added as she moved her eyes up to meet his. He certainly was a good looking guy and would be fun to play around with though she also knew she wasn't going to let things go as fair as he'd likely want them to. It was how she worked though, it was so much fun to see them get so excited only to disappoint them later on.
Laura sat up and set her chin on her knees as she pulled her legs toward her. She let her eyes study the boy in front of her for a long moment before posing his question back at him. "So if you're not a freak, what exactly is your deal?" Laura asked as he really didn't appear to having any thing glaringly wrong with him. As fair as Laura could see he seemed like a typical teen, though she knew better than to depend on first impressions of people.
